Hey my name is Christian Bolt, I want to take this page to introduce myself and let you introduce yourself!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I grew up in Northern Wisconsin next to the Great Lake Superior, I am a Northern boy that has city dreams. I am one of 6 siblings that are all my best friends, I cannot Imagine life without them and will never be able to. They all have such unique things that make them so very special and inspire me to always keep working on becoming more like them.

Home…

I currently live alone in Downtown Kalamazoo MI. I like the sound of it, Its like I live in a Dr.Suess book, but Oh the places I’ll go. I have a Studio apartment that has big windows, fun neighbors, and gives me room to grow as a person and focus on my work. Eventually I would like to move to a larger city or somewhere warmer but for now this is home.

WORK…

I currently work as a *part-time barista (one day a week) and as a full time social media content creator for the most popular camera store in the Kalamazoo-Grand Rapids area @normancamera . I was lucky enough to even grab a part-time position there in the beginning! They are very reluctant to hire new people. I am very grateful!

I currently spend my days working on self-Improvement, tinkering with crazy camera equipment, creating stuff around the clock, and joking around with the people I love most.

SOMEDAY I would like to be a Role-model to people that are struggling with making their dreams a reality.

“Someday is not a day of the week”

I have so many goals to accomplish in my life! There are only so many steps I can take at a time but I am determined to work until my dreams have been realized. For now that's just a summary on who I am. You can learn more from My Journey Blog or you can contact me if you would like to meet and be friends.

Even More…

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.”

-Steve Jobs

Nine Years of Visual Art??!

Yes! I consider the first time I went out of my way to capture an image and share it to the world as the kick-start to my career. There were definitely plenty of times I would draw or take photos of my family. But, going out to just get creative with photography, now that’s interest! If you look at my shadow in that picture, you can make out the camera as a big rectangle. It is a Nintendo DSi. I took plenty of photos on it of my dog (ladybelle), my ridiculously good-lookin’ family, and my bedroom (only when it was clean). It could be considered my first ‘personal’ camera. I spent a lot my time during 2010 capturing more and more. A lot of the photos I had taken were on my family computer. That computers’ hard-drive unfortunately died before I was able to backup any of my oh so ‘amazing’ images I might have captured. I was just a kid biking around my small northern lakeshore hometown with my friends, a DSi and no idea who I wanted to be. I always liked photos and drawings and design and I don’t think I will ever stop doing any of it.

I am only interested in doing what makes me happy.

What you ‘love’ to do is what you don’t mind doing. I think that for most people they never find out what they love to do because they are waiting for the day that they run into a task that makes them blush, excited, and nervous and want to do it over and over. The thing is you have probably already run into it, like an old best friend that you never considered the beauty of before (weird I know but it is the only way I could think of explaining it at the moment, and to old best friends out there I am not interested, sorry). Most of my life I have had a few constant interests, that was how technology eases our daily lives, helping people and teaching them about new things that will ease their lives, and the way that Art in any form captivates. What you will love to do is something you have never minded doing, and has never bugged you but has intrigued, and motivated you to learn more about it. With those two interests I had to figure out what I can do so that no matter what I can be paid to learn more about them, and live a life of ‘doing what I love’. (Digital) Visual arts is the cross-section between Technology and Art. With Videos and Photo I can share products and advances in technology by creating a captivating form of art for people, and I truly love doing it.
